When I  think of June, I think of warm summer nights, beach days, … and flowers!   I specifically equate peonies with June, don’t you?!
I had fun with this new bundle from Stampin’ Up!  I made several cards that I’ll be sharing over the next few days.
This particular card  is very easy to make.  I had a thick whisper white card base that I stamped with one of the floral images  from the Prized Peony stamp set (the one without the stem).  Because I wanted it to be subtle, I actually stamped OFF the Gray Granite ink (meaning I randomly stamped the first generation on a scrap piece of paper, then  stamped a 2nd time, without reinking, on the card base).

Next, I matted the Gray Granite DSP with a Gray Granite mat, 1/4″ larger than the DSP, 3 3/4″ x 5″ (the DSP was 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4″).  Finally,  on a large scrap of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the peony image with the stem, cutting out the stamped image with the coordinating die from the bundle.  Before attaching the mat/DSP layer, I tied and knotted some luscious Gray Granite satin ribbon around the piece. Attach  these layers, then adhere the cut-out  peony, bumping it up with dimensionals.
Above is a closeup view of the card.  I think the peonies stamped on  the card base look very natural!  For best results, make sure you turn the stamp and even stamp off  the edges of the card (with scrap paper underneath of course!).
