Hi everyone!

I have to be honest.  When I first saw the new Blended Seasons bundle available only in August, I decided I didn’t need it.  After all … another limited time special, a wish list that’s already a mile long … did I need another bundle?!

I’ve changed my tune a bit. I’ve seen so many samples.  There are so many pinterest ideas out there!!  I LOVE this bundle!!  It covers all of the seasons, not to mention that I love the matching framelits!! I also love to color, although I’m not very good at it yet.

This afternoon, I wasn’t sleeping — I’m in the middle of a night shift stretch, with just one to go, and I’m sleeping only about 2 1/2 hours a day.  What’s one to do when you have to go to work and you can’t sleep?  I decided to make a super-quick card … my thank you card for June and July.  Yep, I’m behind, but they’re coming!!!

This card took me only about 20 minutes to create.  The card base is Blueberry Bushel, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″.  The next layer is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the In Color DSP 6×6″ stack papers — I couldn’t decide between the dots and the stripes (you might get one or the other, since I still haven’t decided!!).  I only have the stripes to share today — I forgot to color the flowers in with the Daffodil Delight blends marker so my flower centers look naked!!

The image is stamped on Shimmer White cardstock and cut out with the largest framelit from the bundle.  I then colored the flowers with Night of Navy blends, primarily the light, accented with the dark marker.  The leaves are colored with the new Granny Apple Green blends, and my centers are colored in the Daffodil Delight blends … light I believe?  The final accent is a small length of Lemon Lime Twist ruffled ribbon, tied in a simple bow and attached with a glue dot.

You can make this card too!!  The supplies are listed in my store below.  Hurry though … the bundle is gone on September 1st!!

I hope to share a card using the limited time watercolor pencils in another day or so!!  Stay tuned!
