I was very busy last week!  A very good friend of mine is having a baby in September.  It’s not her first … just her first in approximately 12 years!!  She is so excited but has to practically start back over in the baby department so some wonderful ladies from my church threw her a baby shower this past Sunday.  I wasn’t sure how to help, but since papercrafting is my passion, I figured I’d start there!

I made these adorable little “circus carts” as baby favors.  There filled with a animal crackers.  It’s not my first time making these carts, and I can’t even take credit for the design.  I’m pretty sure it was Lisa Young that originally designed them.  I’ll tell you right now that my whole week required 90% retired product!!

I made 60 of these carts:  20 in Orchid Opulence (the lavender that’s in the party stores is a VERY close match, and yes, I did still have 10 sheets and the ink pad/reinker left over!), 20 in Coastal Cabana (love, love, LOVE that color!), and 20 in Crisp Cantaloupe (another retired peachy favorite!).

Here are the pictures:

Assembly Line!
Almost Done!!  (How many did I say I would make?!

Chandra’s theme was elephants, which she’d been collecting since she was a little girl!!  In case you can’t place the cart or the animal stamp set, it’s the retired Chalk Talk and Zoo Babies stamp sets.

I have one more thing to share:  it’s the banner that I made to match the colors:

(I hand-drew the elephant — don’t look close!  The letters are the new Letters Framelits on an oval cutout with the new oval framelits.  The background paper was handstamped in the Orchid Opulence ink using the retired Chevron background stamp.

That’s all for today!!  I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on now!!  It’s all current!
