Good Morning All! I’d love to say that I have some pictures of my open house this past week, but I think I was too preoccupied, flitting from guest to guest, to take any photos this year! It’s so wonderful to get together with my wonderful friends, many who can’t make it to classes, to visit and talk Stampin’ Up!

I managed to get several samples done, most notably for my card classes for the next 6-8 weeks! Yay!! It feels so good to be that far ahead of the game! This spring, I barely got the samples done for the weekend before my Tuesday classes. Now, it’s just a matter of measuring my samples and prepping for the class before the date arrives! That’s what I’ll be doing for tomorrow’s Layered Labels class.

The Layered Labels stamp set is new to the 2012 Idea Book, and coordinates beautifully with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Collection. Here’s the photo of tomorrow’s class:

Although I can’t find it now, other than in my Favorites file on Stampin’ Connection, the baby card on the right was inspired by Anne Hile. (This isn’t the last card of my stampin’ classes that you’ll see inspired by Anne! I love her style!).

This is a closer view of the card. The colors are perfect for baby!

The card in front is another sample that I tucked immediately into my favorites file on Stampin’ Connection! It’s just tweaked a TINY bit from Heidi Baks. She’s another stamper that I love to case! Don’t you see why?! Here’s a close-up view:

My Wedding/Engagement card was totally inspired by Lynda Fraser. You can see her card here. I’ve always wanted to do make the hearts that look like a bride and groom using the Scalloped Heart embosslit and the Full Heart punch. That’s another sample I’ve seen on Stampin’ Connection, although the main idea of this card jumped from Lynda’s sample.

I’m pretty sure that the last card was designed by me for a swap group that I’m a part of, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out which swap or when! Maybe I just designed it to use the Floral District paper — love the Daffodil Delight/Lucky Limeade retro pattern, and you should all know by now that yellow is my favorite color!!!!

I scored the paper on the diagonal using the new diagonal plate for the Score Board. What a great technique as long as one can add right! I’m finding that if I don’t use the markers, I’m frequently doing math on this board! Keeps me sharp, right?!!

Don’t you love my messy bow?! If you know me, you’d be impressed. I had to work hard to crumple my Daffodil Delight Seam Binding to achieve the “carefree and mussed” look! I don’t usually do distressing or messy!!

If you’re in the area, my card class is Tuesday night, 7 p.m. at my house, Lynnfield Massachusetts. I’ll have all the paper cut and scored, except what I’d like you to learn to do on the Big Shot! Cost is $20 and I’ll have kits available if you can’t make it!

Let me know if you’d like a kit — I’ll even mail it to you with all the paper you need to remake these cards yourself — I’ll send a Paypal invoice which will include the $5.00 for shipping to you.

If you’d like to join my monthly card club, you can come to my Technique Class and one of my $20 card classes for FREE! Contact me for details — I’m filling up my next card club now, to start in August!
