Well, today is busy but I wanted to share the card I’m sending to my parents for their anniversary next week! You might recognize it as it was a card that I displayed in last week’s class, although I “jazzed” it up a bit more with the new pleated ribbon!

This card is SO right for my parents! They’re the cutest thing together — if my dad’s knees weren’t so bad that he can’t ride a bike anymore, they’d still be riding together like this! This year will be 48 years for them.

It’s such a cute story! My dad pursued my mom for years. When there was the chance that he would be sent to Vietnam, she actually decided to pay attention to him! I fully support military service, but it would have been so wrong for my dad! That’s the beginning … and the end of the story! They’ve been best friends for 48 years!

Back to the card though. The paper is Twitterpated, and the stamp sets are Take It to Heart and Loving Thoughts. I used both the Baja Breeze and the Blushing Bride pleated ribbon. Oh yes, and I used the Big Shot with the Houndstooth textured embossing folder. I really don’t think that I can make a card without using my Big Shot for something!

Hope your day is wonderful! Find a moment to stamp!
