Now, for a quick card share — this card is for my dear daughter, Lyndsey, who turned 16 today!

Lyndsey’s 16th BD card

I wanted to do something special for Lyndsey’s card, and the gorgeous Spice Cake paper from the holiday mini catalog just “screamed” special! I used the stamp set, Array of Sunshine. It’s available to hostesses with a $150 party. Call me to schedule one today! I’ll help you get this new set … and more!! For other details, I think the stamp set for the sentiment was Perfect Words, another Hostess stamp set. The original sentiment was “On a scale of one to ten, you’re an 11.” Well, she can’t be an 11 on her 16th Birthday, can she??!! So, I used the Billboard alphabet die to make a “16” (it’s a modified “a” and an “i”) out of the Pool Party paper, and attached it to vanilla card stock, punched out using the 3/4″ oval punch. I’m very ingenious, aren’t I?! (Or is that “in-Jeannious?” LOL?)

Close-up view of Lyndsey’s card — there’s a lot of dimension going on here!

One last thing — tomorrow I’m starting a new blog series called “Step-It-Up Saturdays“. Check out my 3 cards, all using one stamp set, but each a little bit different: a basic, an intermediate, and an all-out “bam” card!

Hope you come back to visit tomorrow!
