Good Morning All!

I was checking out some of my favorite blogs this morning, and stumbled across Pals Paper Arts and their challenge of the week. Sometimes I need inspiration and a challenge to get to my projects, and this challenge was just the one to get me blogging this morning!

The challenge is titled “Dress for Success” — the “challengee” is supposed to use one designer paper, one punch, and one sentiment on their card. I’ve been working on cards for my September classes, and decided that the card below fits just the mold!

I used one piece of Designer Paper — but also paper-pieced the coffee pot and mug. Don’t you just love the new Mocha Morning Specialty Paper?! Some of the pieces are flocked or shiny, while there are some regular two-sided designer sheets as well.

My punch is one of my favorite punches to use to jazz up a card — the scallop edge punch. I believe this was the first edge punch that Stampin’ Up! developed, and boy, do I use it a lot!

I firmly believe this sentiment — of course, if there are errors on this post, it’s because I’m still sleeping!!! LOL! The image and sentiment are from the Morning Cup stamp set.

Here’s one more close-up view of the card I made. You can see I popped up my image after I stamped it in Black Staz-On ink on my paper and hand-cut it out.

If any of my class-people recognize this card, it’s because I’ve advertised it as part of my Morning Cup Card Class for September, but that’s another post that you’ll have to wait for!
