Remember the Staples commercial: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” … set to the Christmas tune that escapes me right now?! LOL! I’m really not looking forward to the kids returning to school! Lyndsey starts high school this year (she laughingly says the Taylor Swift’s “15” song is her theme song since she turns 15 this year as well … not the first day of school, but the second!!!) and Christopher is going into 7th grade! My babies are growing up! That means I’m supposed to grow up too! LOL!

Anywho, onto my Back to School card for this week’s Blogger’s Challenge! What fun I had with this card! It’s actually great for a punch art class as well.

I adapted the bookworm from a punch art tutorial by Lee Ann Greff some time back. I love his primary colors! The DSP is retired Summer Picnic DSP from SU! — the apples fit the “apple for the teacher” theme I tried to get going! The sentiment is one of those great sentiments from Smarty Pants — a wonderful stamp set full of great sentiments from Stampin’ Up! The “books” are scraps of Tangerine Tango, Marina Mist, and Daffodil Delight — some of my favorite colors from this year’s Color Renovation.

Stamps: Smarty Pants
Paper: SU! Whisper White, Real Red, Summer Picnic DSP, scraps of Real Red, Glorious Green, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Brilliant Blue, Only Orange, Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso.
Accessories: SU! punches: Word Window, 1″ Round, 3/4″ Round, 1/2″ Round, Large Oval, 1/4″ Round, Cropadile 1/8″ hole , Horizontal Slot punch.

TFL! Come back tomorrow for 2 great kids’ cards using Stampin’ Up’s “extreme” single stamps!
