For ideas, inspiration and tutorialsLast Night’s Technique Class
Good Morning and Happy Valentine's Day! I was up early this morning, making treats and little cards/"love notes" for the kids' lunches. They're getting a bit old -- it embarrasses Chris (who will be 14 next monrth) but Lyndsey (16) loves it! Hard to stop even if my babies are growing up!!I promised samples from last night's class and here they are! It was super-quick, and as always, super fun! (We did miss Martha though!).We did two techniques last night -- bleaching and kissing! Perfect for...
Up in the Air Over You!
Maybe this never happened to you ... or maybe, just like me, you have a picture in your mind, and the card you created turns out NOTHING like you pictured! Well, enter evidence # 1 !!!Today's card uses the Up, Up and Away (Hot Air Balloon) stamp set and the Peekaboo Frames. I used the Peekaboo Frames die for Christmas with my Advent Calendar, but for nothing after that. I knew I wanted to do something with it, and had a picture of a long card in mind ... didn't work! Changed to a regular-sized...
Waterfall Card Tutorial
Good morning all! I promised a tutorial on how to create the waterfall card and here it is!Your card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" -- score it at 4 1/4" on the 8 1/2" side. Next, I layered a Very Vanilla c/s piece (5 3/8" x 4 1/8") under a DSP piece of your choice (5 1/4" x 4", Sweet Shoppe Specialty DSP is pictured, available in the spring mini catalog). You can attach your DSP piece to the matted 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" piece -- *don't attach to your card base yet since you don't want to see your brads or...
Another Waterfall Card!
Now that I know how to create these, I just LOVE making waterfall cards! Check this one out! I used the new Sweet Shoppe DSP and the beautiful color purple to make a birthday card for my special friend, Mary! Mary is just 3 weeks older than me, and just like me in so many ways! Check out the card:I used a couple of different stamp sets for this card: I used the Party Hearty stamp set as well as the new Sprinkled Expressions Sale-a-bration (SAB) set for the top image. For the strip of Wisteria...
Valentine Card/Project Class
Good morning! My ideas were bigger than my class time last night but I think my special ladies all had a grand time! Check out the photos for the projects we did (and 2 of them were missing!)A ton of my inspiration came from Becky Roberts and her Inking Idaho blog if you want some fantastic samples! I think that's where the front right lollipop scallop envelope cover came from, as well as the Box # 2 in the back right corner! I saw the small Chocolate Kiss box (the chocolate covered-strawberry...
