Royal Peacock dresses in Joseph’s Coat this time!

I've shared a few cards that I've made using the Joseph's Coat stamping technique this week - now let's see how this technique looks on Royal Peacock. Before I start, I wonder if anyone else is having trouble keeping the "peacocks" straight"?!  I have such a hard time remembering that the designer paper and the suite is called NOBLE peacock, the color is PRETTY peacock (thank goodness I can remember that for the color, the beginning initials are the same!), and the stamp set is ROYAL...

More “Joseph’s Coat”!

Yesterday I shared how to do the Joseph's Coat technique, and I love that it is totally unpredictable!  Well, today I have a 2nd card to share. I used brighter colors for my "under-stamping", and then a different color over.top.  I have one tip to share with you first. Do you see my stitched rectangle in the photo above? Joseph’s Coat Meets Daisy Lane

In my card class this week, my sideline/helper taught a great new technique (to me) called Joseph's Coat. First, you start with a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Make sure you have scrap paper beneath this cardstock...

Today I'm featuring the 3rd card in my Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Paper series. This card is a Double Z-Fold card, and it's really much easier than it looks.  I think I would still consider it a card for the casual crafter -- it's not that difficult, and the "wow" when you give it to somebody will make you smile!Once again, I'll have the card recipe below.  Let me just show you the card, and a close-up of one of the features.Isn't the hummingbird lovely?  I was able to cut...

Mosaic Moods – Christmas in July!

Well, happy July!!  You know what that means?!  It's time for some CHRISTMAS in July!  I love Christmas, and I heard just recently, July 3rd, that there was only 175 days until Christmas.  This is indeed a challenge as there are not many designer papers suitable for Christmas in the new Annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  But... I was up for the challenge and I saw one of the papers from Mosaic Mood as a cable knit pattern.  The next challenge was finding a suitable...
