On the left, you see some remnants of my Big Top DSP (retired, but you’ll see it again next week in my “Pop Goes the 4th on the 2nd! card class) The sentiment uses the Curly Cute stamp set — this card was case’d from Stampin’ Connection — a cardmaker named “Donna” (sorry — no more info than that!). The stamp set is Sweets for the Sweet.
The simple card in the front is cased from the new catalog — it’s on page 44 with the featured Pennant Parade stamp set. I didn’t have the Made For You stamp set (that comes tomorrow — yay!!), so I used the fabulous Bring on the Cake stamp set for my sentiment. This card was made to fit the small open-end envelopes that I think must have retired.
(Maybe tomorrow I can measure one and figure out dimensions so that you can make your own envelopes with the score board!)
Did I mention that I love my class ladies?! One of them looked at this card and said that it was the perfect size to use as a gift card and insert some fun cashola into! Now why didn’t I think of that?! It just took a new cut and another score line to develop the card into just that … a fun cash enclosure gift card! The paper was 6 1/2″ square originally — scored at 3 1/4″ on one side. Instead, I cut my paper at 6 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, then scored it at 3 1/4″ and again at 6 1/2 ” — perfect to enclose the cash!
Well, that’s it for today! Time to prepare my room for Open Stamping tonight! Check out my calendar on my Stampin’ Up! web page if you’re interested in attending any one of my fun card classes and events!
