Well, I’m finding a quick second to add photos of last night’s 3D Valentine class. Check them out!!
This first photo is a group photo of 5 of the 6 projects we did. I have a few closeup photos of some of them too!
I used the envelope punch board to make this cute cookie envelope! The measurements on the board give paper sizes for 4″ x 4″ envelopes, and 3″ x 3″ envelopes — I wanted to use a paper size of 6″ square, so I figured my own measurements: I scored and punched at 3″ on each side and it worked perfectly!!
The pretzel bags hold Valentine-themed candy corn — love it!! I used the Hey, Valentine stamp set and blendabilities to color in the adorable bird: light and medium Cherry Cobbler, an orange marker for the beak, and the light “blendie” from the Night of Navy family for the bird.
The heart-shaped box is adapted from a tutorial from QBee — you can see the tutorial here — I changed the paper and the embossing folder to the Delicate Details TIEF since the heart folder is retired (although it would have been perfect!). When you emboss the middle strip, you can’t even tell that one half is negative embossed (because I had to flip the folder!), and the other is opposite!!
The last box is adapted from a tutorial by Patty Bennett from a few years back: she had people using the Scallop Square Bigz Die which I think is retired now. I used the largest square (which is scalloped) from the Square Framelits. I scored 2 sides at 1 1/4″ and 2 sides at 1 1/2″. It worked quite well! The handle was added myself: I took a 5/8″ x 3 1/2″ strip of Real Red c/s and cut it with the strip of hearts that goes with the Mini Treat Bag thinlit.
Speaking of … I used the Mini Treat Bag thinlit and Coastal Cabana DSP from the In Color paper stack. I used a sentiment from the Simply Wonderful Sale-a-bration stamp set for the center, and the hearts are from the Pictogram Punches stamp set.
That’s all for today! Please leave me comments! I’m on my way to work in another snow “storm” — they’re predicting another blizzard for this weekend when I work again!! Yikes!!
