More Peonies for June! | Stamping with Jeannie

Yesterday I shared my first Peony card using the Prized Peony bundle.   Today,  I have another card to share, and it might possibly be one of my current favorites!

Again I used the Prized Peony stamp set with it’s matching Peony dies.  Instead of using the Peony Garden DSP, I instead used a marble pattern from the In Good Taste designer paper. If there was a brick wall pattern, I might have chosen that, but I love the subtle marbling in this pattern!

Isn’t it gorgeous?!  I colored the flower with our brand new Melon Mambo stampin’ blends.  Don’t you just love the intense color?!  It’s so funny that I  always thought Melon Mambo was SO pink until they introduced us to Magenta Madness!

So, how did I make the card?! Here’s the recipe:

Card base: Smoky Slate, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at  4 1/4″
Layer  1: In Good Taste dsp, Marble pattern, 4″ x 5 1/4″, stamped with “Your Sweet Friendship…” sentiment in Versamark ink and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder
Layer  2: Square Vellum Doilies
Layer 3: Whisper White cardstock scrap, 4″ x 4″, stamped with the large peony in Memento ink, then colored with Melon Mambo Light blend  and Mossy Meadow Light blend.  Cut out the peony with the coordinating Peony die, then attach over the square doily with dimensionals. Attach a “sprinkling” of Gilded Gold gems.

Here’s a closeup  of the card and the coloring:

Thanks for joining me for another Peony card! I’d love it if you left me a comment so I can see that you’ve visited!  Who knows … you might get one in the mail from me!
