Good morning everyone! Today I want to share a quick post about my FB live on Monday evening using the Light the Sky bundle. You may remember this bundle as being in one of the recent minis — it disappeared from the catalog shelf but moved to the Online Exclusive shelf!
What is an online exclusive product? Well, you won’t see it in a Stampin’ Up! catalog anymore, and Stampin’ Up! won’t guarantee how long they’ll stock it, but it is available for purchase when you go to the Online Exclusive products.
Stampin’ Up! initially offers their stamp and die/punch bundles as “bundles”, meaning you can save 10% off of the total price of the products and enter one easy number that encompasses both the stamps and dies or punches. When they bring the products back a second time or more, you need to enter both numbers.
Let’s take a look at the stamps and dies:
What a great set of stamps and dies! These images are perfect for celebrations (think engagement, retirement, new job, graduation) and holidays (both July 4th and New Year’s come to mind!). They’re even great for birthdays. I thought a bit outside of the box and saw flowers in some of the stamped images as you can see from my cards below.
As you can see from the cards, they’re all a bit different. I feel like the bottom left card might be great for a holiday like July 4th and Memorial Day, while the top right card might be fitting for a New Year’s Eve celebration or a graduation (you can use the individual school colors on the cardstock or embossing!).
My favorite card of all is the bottom right card — I think the idea was to make sparklers from the fireworks, but instead I made it into a miniature flower garden! I stamped the flower centers underneath each flower in Fresh Freesia ink, then added the “over petals” in Petunia Pop (my new favorite Stampin’ Up! color!) and Pretty in Pink. The gem centers are the Purple Gems that matched the Lavender suite in the last mini catalog! I love that most of that suite carried over, and the Berry Burst-colored gems worked perfectly on this card I think!
The last card, top right, is a fun fold card. I was trying to make the fireworks image “POP” per a request from one of my class attendees … well, success with the popping but the actual design or layers could use more work!
If you want to join my newsletter/email list, I’ll be sending my subscribers this tutorial by this weekend! You can get it too, just by subscribing HERE!
That’s all for the day … time for me to work my “real job” as a nurse in a busy Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology Clinic at a hospital in Boston! The stamping?!! That’s my fun time, my sanity time, my “ME” time!
Until later … Stamping Hugs!
