You Can Count on Me! | Stamping with Jeannie

Sometimes the stamps say it all, don’t they?!  The Count on Me stamp set is one of those perfect “I’m thinking of you today” stamp sets! I made this cute card and wanted to share with all of you!

Check out the adorable koala bear images, then check out the patterned Happy Forest Friends designer paper. Doesn’t it look like the two were made for eachother?!

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Mossy Meadow card base that I scored at 5 1/2″.  Next, I embossed a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Gray Granite cardstock with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder.  Yes, it’s still orderable!  Adhere that to the paper with glue (my preferred) or Stampin’ Seal.

Next, I added a 3″ x 4″ piece of the designer paper to a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock.  Tie a length of the Old Olive twill ribbon around both layers, then pop up with dimensionals.  I moved the knot over to the left but you could choose right too!

Now, diecut a 2 3/4″ scalloped circle with the Layering Circles dies.  Diecut a 2nd Basic White circle with the Stylish Shapes dies.  The white circle is approximately 2 5/8″ but I’m pretty sure it’s the 2nd largest circle die from that set.  Stamp the koala image in Memento ink at the top and stamp the sentiment below it, centered at the bottom.  Color your koalas with the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends — I shaded with the dark a bit and primarily used the light marker.  I colored in the ears with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend — the light and dark of this set are my “go-to” for faces and ears/hands/feet I find!  Adhere the circle to the Gray Granite scalloped circle, then pop up with dimensionals.  That’s it!

Don’t forget to stamp your inside. I also like to add just another 1/2″ strip of designer paper to the insides of my cards!

Stamping hugs from “my lamp”,

Jeannie
