So thankful for today! In the United States, it’s a holiday … Memorial Day. It is the unofficial start of summer, barbecues, warm weather. Of course, it’s a Red, White and Blue holiday.

I wanted to make sure that we remembered those that have served in the military. Of course, we remember the lives that were lost. I made this quick beautiful card to remind us.

I used the new Tea Boutique cards and envelopes, the Cup of Tea stamp set, and our new in colors, Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet to make this card. Check out the supplies below.

This was a quick card to make. I used the new In Color 6×6 Designer Paper stack and cut the chosen pattern (that might have been the hardest part LOL!) at 4″ x 3″. I attached that to the bottom of the Sweet Sorbet Tea Boutique card. Look at this beautiful matching envelope!

Next, I cut a Basic White c/s scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours dies — I used the 2nd largest rectangle (the largest is actually almost front card size!). I could have stamped the tea cup directly on this paper, but instead, I stamped it on a piece of Basic White c/s scrap and cut it out with the coordinating tea cup die. I stamped the tea cup in Sweet Sorbet ink, one of our new In Colors. (Love it! It reminds me of the old Watermelon Wonder ink we used to have!) I stamped the “greenery” in Sweet Sorbet near the top center of the card so I’d have room for the teacup and the sentiment.

In the bottom right corner of the rectangle, I stamped the sentiment, “Always Remember”. I immediately thought of the Peaceful Moments stamp set for this great sentiment, mostly because it’s one of my “go-to” sympathy stamp sets. I used our new Starry Sky ink for the sentiment.

So, the last step was some diecutting. I used our Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine to diecut the teacup and the Starry Sky heart and flowers, also part of the Teacup dies. You only need a small scrap of this beautiful color to diecut these shapes. Pop up the heart and add iridescent pearls to the heart and flower center and you’re ready to send!
