Don’t miss the moments … | Stamping with Jeannie
This morning I woke up at 3:30 a.m.  What does one do at that time if you’re wide awake and the rest of the world (including the pups)? Well, I watched a Hallmark Christmas movie… and caught a glimpse of the sun coming up this morning.

The scene inspired a card… and reminded me not to miss the still moments.

I started with a small scrap of Snowflake Splendor DSP and a small piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Curvy dies from the Quite Curvy bundle available as a special order until January 3rd, and then availabe in the new mini catalog.  The rolling hill landscape almost looked like the scene I captured in my early morning photo.
Step 2 was to sponge my background.  (*Shhh… I used the new blender brushes I could preorder after attending On Stage at Home last weekend.  You’re gonna love them!) I used Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy on top.  I then embossed some stars from the So Many Stars stamp set. The pines?  I stamped them in Pretty Peacock ink and then overstamped (a separateset of image of stamps – In the Pines is an easy two-set stamp set).  All that was left to do was cut the pines out with the matching dies and stamp my sentiment.

I almost didn’t add a sentiment to the card.  I was looking to add a silhouette of a deer, squirrel or rabbit (no, it wasn’t there in the picture this time, but it’s usually in my landscape any other time I look out my windows), and my eye landed on the Merry Moose stamp set.  I wouldn’t see a moose in my landscape here in Lynnfield Massachusetts, so the idea wasn’t quite right … but the sentiment surely was!
I hope you take advantage of those found moments… the moments when the rest of the world is still and you get to look in on it!
Have a wonderful “stamped with blessings” kind of day!
