It’s time to say goodbye to another favorite stamp set of mine. As I said in my Facebook Live last night, sometimes you don’t realize how good it is until they’re “taking it away”! The Flourishing Phrases stamp set with the matching Flourish dies are going to retire on June 2nd, 2020. It’s a sad time indeed!
In my Facebook Live, I made a few cards using this versatile stamp set. I love it for the “With Sympathy” and the “Just a Note” sentiments, but it’s perfect for weddings and congratulations too.
So, here’s my card: Mint Macaron cardstock with Basic Black cardstock mat and Basic Black cardstock diecuts. It was so simple to make — I just took a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock, laid out a variety of dies, and cut. The trick to attaching these diecuts is to use a sponge, the liquid glue, and the silicone mat from Stampin’ Up! I’m including the “recipe” for the card along with the supplies below. I hope you’ll consider purchasing this lovely set!
- Mint Macaron card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic Black cardstock mat, 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Mint Macaron cardstock piece, 3 3/4″ x 5″, embossed with the Subtles 3D folder.
- Basic Black diecuts — choose a variety that fit on the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock – cut out with your diecutting machine. Adhere to the Mint Macaron embossed piece with liquid glue as described above.
- Basic Black cardstock mat for label – final size is 5/8″ x 2 5/8″. (I custom-sized this rectangle by choosing a rectangle die, cutting close to the top and one side of the label, then placed the die bottom and to the other side of the label, thereby creating a sized label perfect to attach the Mint Macaron label to. If you have questions, leave me a comment, or refer to the Facebook Live from 5/18 where I showed how I did this.)
- Mint Macaron cardstock scrap – stamp Congratulations in Memento ink, then cut out with the 2 1/2″ x 1/2″ stitched rectangle die. Attach to the Basic Black rectangle, then pop up with dimensionals.
