It’s time for me show off another embossed card! I made this card specifically to show off the difference that a little embossing can make.
Check out this card. So simple to make — I’m going to call it a #simplestamping card because it really took me just a few minutes to create. I was inspired by a swap card that I received, which I will show you in just a moment.
The stamped flower shown here is from the stamp set called Healing Hugs and is such a great thinking of you/get well card. I stamped the image in Rococo Rose ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock(c/s), then “fussy-cut” and popped up on the largest Stitched Circle die. I also stamped leaves in Garden Green ink, again on the scrap of Whisper White c/s and again “fussy-cut”. Fussy-cutting involves hand-cutting an image out, rather than using dies – it’s quite possibly the most time consuming part of this entire card!
I stamped the sentiment in the bottom left corner of the Blushing Bride layer, again in Rococo Rose ink. This layer is then attached to a Mint Macaron c/s base. What a great card to send to someone to let them know you’re thinking of them!
So, let me show you the card that inspired the card above, and the card that shows the beauty of embossing yet again!
Again, the flower above was stamped with the Healing Hugs stamp set. I think that the ink used was Calypso Coral, but don’t quote me on that! The “piece-de-resistance” is the Petal Pink cardstock layer that is embossed with the Tufted 3D embossing folder! Of course, there are other beautiful elements to this card – the rhinestones, the ribbon, the sentiment layered and popped up!

Because I didn’t create the card, I’m not going to include anything but the embossing folder on my supply list. I also can’t quote everything that was used on the card so my card recipe will be for the card I created only – I will just say that the mat layer over the card base is best embossed!
Card “Recipe” :
Dimensions:
Layer 1: Mint Macaron c/s, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 2: Blushing Bride c/s, 4″ x 5 1/4″ (emboss this layer with the Tufted embossing folder for extra WOW!)
Layer 3: Whisper White c/s, 3 1/2″ square – cut with the largest circle Stitched Shapes die and the Big Shot
Layer 4: Whisper White c/s scrap 3 1/2″ square
Directions:
Stamp the rose in Rococo Rose ink and the leaves in Garden Green ink on the scrap of Whisper White c/s, layer 4. Cut out and set aside. Cut out the stitched circle using the Big Shot and the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes dies. Pop up the rose and leaves with dimensional onto the stitched circle shape. If you choose to emboss the Blushing Bride c/s layer, use the Tufted 3D embossing folder. You may want to stamp your sentiment either on another scrap of Whisper White c/s scrap, or you can try stamping the sentiment in Rococo Rose ink in the bottom corner of the card BEFORE embossing this layer. Attach this layer to the card base, then attach the stitched circle to the (embossed) Blushing Bride c/s layer.
