I had so much fun making this card! I’ve spent the last few weeks creating cards using bundles, stamp sets, punches and framelits that are going away.
Unfortunately the wood crate framelits are one of those products I’m sad to see them go. Doesn’t this Momma Roo look so proud?! She’s sporting the latest pouch for her wee little koala! I stamped Momma on Sahara Sand c/s in Memento Ink, then colored her in with the Light Crumb Cake blend. Baby Koala is colored in with the light Smoky Slate blend.
The balloon is stamped in Mint Macaron ink using the Balloon Celebrations stamp set, cut out with the Balloon punch that is retiring. I cut double crates for wagons – my back wagon is basically embossed because I cut both layers at the same time. I then offset slightly to make it look 3D. The wheels are Basic Black circles punched out with the 1″ circle punch. The “hubcaps” are champagne foil punched out with the 3/4″ circle punch (retiring … do you have yours yet?!). Oh yes, and the handle is just a scrap of paper that I found in my recycling – basically it’s 1/8″ by about 4″ and I cut off just a tad for the handle for the pull bar. The words for the sentiment are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on one of the framelits from the Wood Crate set again – the stamps are part of the Animal Outing stamp set. I had no problem lining up the words! I used a snippet of Old Olive linen thread. I colored the leaves on the stamped branch with Mossy Meadow blends after stamping it in Memento ink, used a bronze blend for the branch itself, and the frog is a pleasant Granny Apple Green blend color. The last little item? More branches cut from Mossy Meadow scraps using the frame lit from the Animal Outing bundle.
Your wagon is awesomely clever! Thank you so much for playing along with us at SUOChallenges.com. We will have a new challenge tomorrow and hope to see you again!
Such an adorable baby card, Jeannie! I especially love how you put the mama 'roo in a little red wagon, just so cute. Thanks for playing along with us at SUO Challenges!
