My Yankee Swap for our Team Christmas Party | Stamping with Jeannie

Yesterday was our team Christmas party held at my up-upline’s house.  What a fun time we have every year!!  There’s no shortage of food and fun and visiting at these events!!

The highlight of the Christmas/holiday get-together is our 3D Yankee swaps.  Each year we raise the bar just a little bit higher with the quality and imagination that goes into these events.

I found some clear glass ornaments at Hobby Lobby in September and kind of knew what I wanted to do with them.  Here’s what I came up with (*please excuse that one of these ornaments used a retired set of framelits!)

To make these, I cut a 3″ circle of Balmy Blue c/s, then cut off 1 1/2cm from the bottom (the ornaments had a flat base).  I then cut scenes from the Holiiday Home framelits, the Bethlehem edgelets and the Card Front Builder framelits (? last year’s framelits?)  I then inserted the scenes into the ornaments but using a hot glue gun to attach to the bottom, followed by a generous sprinkling of glitter.  The ornaments/3D swaps didn’t necessarily have to use Stampin’ Up! products although it was encouraged.  I loved the Card Builder set from last year and knew it would be a great addition to my ornaments.
That’s all for today!!  Soon I’ll start sharing my swaps that I’ve made the past few days/weeks!!
