Well, I got back from Convention over a week ago and immediately went back to work! 3 overnight shifts at the hospital really wiped me out! It was wonderful to see that so many of my long-time patients were able to make it home while I was away! That’s the thing with Bone Marrow Transplant patients. Sometimes they’re with us for months at a time! We become family and very close to several of them.
Anywho, I thought I’d share one picture from Convention that was so special to me. I’ve now been with Stampin’ Up! for 5 years and got to walk the stage to celebrate! My friend and side-line, Margaret, got some pretty good pictures so I thought I’d share one with you.
There I am! Larger than life! Don’t I look like a celebrity?!
Speaking of “celebrities”, I met several while in Salt Lake City! I was staying in the same hotel as Ann Schach! She gave an impromptu homemade “bow-cheesy” demonstration with a handmade tool to create the perfect bow! She even shared some of her past special cards with us in place of swaps since she’s been so busy showing her dogs!
Then, I sat RIGHT BEHIND Patty Bennett! Woohoo! Shout out to Patty — she was as personable in person as she is on her blog! I have a picture that Angela took of all of us (Patty and Cindee Wilkinson, plus me leaning over so it’s not very flattering of me — ignore that!).
We went to the Gala event after Awards Night and I got my picture taken with Sara Douglass, Shelli Gardner’s daughter! Both ladies, Sara AND Shelli, are so classy! Love their style!
Then, I went on to meet Ronda Wade personally. I’ve communicated with her for months online (I’m in her Business Training group) but it was wonderful to finally meet her up close!
I think that’s all the Convention pics right now. I have oodles of swaps but haven’t even had a chance to sort through them! I know … what’s taking so long?! Maybe when my family and I go to Lake George for a long weekend this coming weekend, I could take them along to start planning card classes for the next few months!!! That’s the beauty of being a demonstrator … I have made several new friendships and most demonstrators just LOVE to share!

Congratulations! I can only imagine the excitement of convention. I only attended regionals and was able to present at one of them. I got to sit next to Shelli before going up on stage. It was such a hoot! Glad you could dig your way out of the snow to be able to attend!
