Hi all!
Another quick post today. I wanted to share one of my Mother’s Day cards (I used it in a class earlier this week!) as well as another card made with a stamp (and other products!) that’s retiring.
I absolutely love this single Just Thinking stamp. It’s a single stamp that’s in the current spring mini catalog. I’m going to give you a close-up in a second, but just want to explain a few quick details about the stamp. You can perfectly, easily cut this stamp out with the coordinating Window Frames framelits that were introduced in the holiday mini — thankfully, these were and still are being carried forward!
There’s a tiny brad in the center of the design at the top of the stamp — IT’S GOING!! Get your brads in all of the color family soon! I’m not sure what I’ll do without these brads. Love ’em! The DSP is perfect for dad or grad — Parker’s Patterns. Yep, in the spring mini and leavin’ shortly!!
Now on to my Mother’s Day share:
I simply adore these coordinating products from the spring mini: the Dress Up framelit, the Dress Form Pop ‘n Cuts, and the Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts. What I didn’t know until searching out Karen Burniston, the designer of Pop ‘n Cuts, on You Tube is that the card base is interchangeable with other Movers and Shapers Dies or can be used as a unique card base for other cards! Love it!! By the way, as far as we can tell right now, the small flower trim shown at the waist of my card front is NOT being carried forward! I cut the “mirror” for the inside of my card using the silver glimmer paper and one of the framelits from the Apothecary Accents Framelits collection.
*Just a note — the inside sentiment shown below is a non-SU stamp. I got it years ago at a small out-of-the-way scrapbook store tucked in the middle of nowhere in central NY state. I’m very close to my mom and I love what the sentiment says!! I wanted to fit everything in this card so I made a little “hinge” (top right photo) for the back of the card so that I could say “for my wonderful mother” (from the Delightful Dozen stamp set — NOT leaving yet!) but still fit the beautiful sentiment stamp shown in the photo below.
My mom is going to take one look at this card and say that it’s “not her” I’m afraid. She doesn’t dress up in fancy clothes or wear sophisticated makeup — I hope to convey to her that although she doesn’t dress up and go out on the town often, she’s still so beautiful to me … especially on the inside!
Happy Mother’s Day Mom!
